Lean Skills, Fat Markdown: The Discipline That Stops Bloat

Atom Search related

Skills should be lean markdown files describing a single protocol — not the whole brain. A gbrain SKILL.md had grown to 254 lines describing the entire system; it never once stated the Iron Law ('every entity mention creates a bidirectional link') that the whole graph depended on. The rebuild is 216 lines, states the Iron Law near the top, lists the operations the agent runs, and links to canonical docs for anything longer than two paragraphs. Learning artifacts (24 debug logs) get moved out to a journal folder so the operational skill isn't scroll-past-bloat to find.
