The previous v6 message to Connor had stale assumptions:
Berlin's automotive upside was Tesla Gigafactory — wrong because Connor won't join Tesla (per v6 correction).
Munich's framing was BMW i / Audi e-tron / EV tech — wrong because Connor is into luxury / sports cars, not pure EV.
Berlin was Tier-1 for Connor — wrong because without Tesla + without pure EV interest, Berlin's auto scene is genuinely thin for Connor.
v7 fixes all three:
Munich leads with BMW M / Audi Sport / Porsche / Mercedes — luxury / sports car cluster, not EV tech.
Berlin is reframed honestly as weak for Connor — not selling it.
Lisbon kept as a transparent honourable mention — flagged weak for Connor.
v7 deliverable: the message to Connor
The full draft was written to 2026 07 02 Thu.Md (Scratchpad section, "v7 redraft" subsection). Replaces the v6 draft.
Key tone choices
Plain English, friend-to-friend register. No comparison tables.
BMW M / Audi Sport / Porsche lead Munich's automotive section. Not "BMW / Audi / MAN / Siemens" (v6 had MAN + Siemens, which are commercial vehicles + industrial — not Connor's frame).
Berlin's automotive section is short and honest. "Not a strong fit for you on the luxury / sports car side." Don't oversell.
Amsterdam kept the 30% ruling perk — biggest tax-specific line item.
Honourable mention for Lisbon, not hidden. Flagged as weak for Connor transparently.
Closing question is direct. "Does Munich sound good to you?"
No WHV / visa logistics / 2028-reasoning / Australia-tax-motivation — those are for the next conversation.
Where the message is stored
The full v7 draft is at ~/Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~md~obsidian/Documents/Digital Mind/Calendar/Daily/2026-07-02 Thu.md (Scratchpad section). Nathan will review and send it himself.
The v6 draft was overwritten by the v7 redraft (full file rewrite of the Scratchpad section). If v6 needs to be preserved, restore from this page's See also link.
Tone choices (refreshed)
Plain English, friend-to-friend register
"My honest read" not "I recommend" — invites his pushback
Honest about Berlin's weakness for him (don't oversell)
Closing question is direct
What the message does NOT include
WHV / visa logistics
2028 timeline reasoning
Tax-saving math beyond Amsterdam's 30% ruling (one line)
Australia framing (not relitigated)
Connor's prior London recommendation (not relitigated)
Next steps after Connor replies
If Connor picks Munich → scout Munich + Berlin (or just Munich)
If Connor picks Berlin → scout Berlin + Munich
If Connor picks Amsterdam → scout Amsterdam + Munich
If Connor picks a city Nathan hasn't considered → re-run brainstorm with new option
If Connor suggests an Italian luxury / sports city (Modena / Maranello / Bologna / Turin) → scout that + Munich (the Italian luxury cluster is genuinely Connor's-thesis fit)
The scouting trip is the make-or-break step regardless of Connor's preference. The conversation just locks the order in which cities get visited.

Connor hasn't seen this yet
Nathan should review the v7 message for tone before sending
v7 supersedes v6 — no need to preserve v6 unless Connor asks for the older framing
